The Moderate path and crossing the Limits(Extremism) in
respecting the Scholars

الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على من لا نبي بعده اما بعد
We call Allaah enough as a witness in our respect towards the Scholars of Sunnah and our dealings with them. We are not a group of people who have failed in knowing the status of the Scholars. And also of not those who have failed in giving them the due respect. Allaah is enough as a witness in our respect towards the scholars without showing exaggeration and in safeguarding their reputation that we are owed upon. The names of the Scholars whom the world have forgotten were introduced into the Tamil World along with their books. And we are putting our efforts in bringing the People closer to the Scholars of Islaam. At the same time, we have never raised any of the Scholars to the level of the Messenger of Allaah nor we have intentions in doing it. One of the things that allaah has blessed us with is reviving the Forgotten sunnaahs and implementing it. In the course of implementing these sunnaahs, if anyone among the people use the opinions of the Scholars against the Sunnaah of Rasoolullaah. We obliged ourselves to say what the Scholars have taught us with, "We don't take the words of any Scholars against the words of the Messenger of Allaah".
This is the claim of all the Scholars. And also the claim of Al-Quran and As-Sunnaah. This is the fundamental of Islaam. Whatever we claim as the Prophetic Methodology is that methodology which was adopted by the noble Prophet and his Companions. As recorded by the Muhaddhiseens(the scholars of Hadheeth) by the way of authentic narrations. And we illustrate through our works how the Tabieen(2nd generation), the Taba-Tabieen(the 3rd generation) and the Imaams extend their support for this Prophetic methodology. We don't claim anything else as the Prophetic methodology according to our whims and desires. Contrary to this, if my (Yahya Silmy's) saying on a matter is not proven by me to be in accordance with the actions of the noble Prophet, his Companions and the Tabieen. I clearly put forward that it's Haraam for anyone to follow my verdict blindly. At the same time, I would also like to stress upon the fact that if an act of the noble Prophet and his Companions is proven with authentic narrations, then it's Haraam for you to act in opposition to the Sunnah by clinging to some scholars' opinions.
