Dangers of Mufti menk and Nouman ali khan
But the uniqueness should be emphasized and made sure that the people are clear on it which means the hearing which I am going to talk about Allah should not be similar to our hearing. When we are going to call Allah as Al Adl you can talk about Adl, you can talk about sam’, you can talk about basr, but at the same time you should not take that as similar to the creations. Among the sickness of deviation of Ahlul bidah are that they similarize Allah’s names with the creations, that which had lead them to either deny it because they took it similar to the creation. They denied it like the denying of the mu’tazilas with the saying, “The most hearing without hearing”. So the sam’i(thehearing) was the word which did not have a meaning for the mu’tazila’s because they took the hearing similar to the creations. How the salaf took the name sam’i is that they do not similarize it with the creations and they make it unique to Allah and similarly with other names and attributes of Allah.
The reason why people do not pick up this issue as serious and emphasizing in the public is mainly the knowledge which has not been taken through the methodology of the salaf. If they were seeking knowledge through the methodology of salaf, their ulamaas would have emphasized to them the knowledge of Allah at first. Instead they have cut their lineage from the people of Knowledge and decided to make a way of their own. This is the reason we can realize when a da’ee does not emphasize on the areas of Names and attributes it’s a great proof that he might have studied with the people of knowledge but with the weakness of not being educated under the salaf methodology. If he has been educated under the methodology of the salaf as saaliheen, he would have given importance to the knowledge of allaah which the ulamaa's has been emphasizing on every public. When Rasoolullaah(H) sent Muadh ibn Jabalraliyallahu anhu to yemen, he said ‘ ya Muadh ! you are going to meet the people of of the book (jews and Christians).
